In the village of Žďar, you can find a group of well preserved folk architecture buildings, such as the former Peldova bakery from 1808 with log house No. 31 across the street. The two-floor blacksmith’s workshop is one of the most beautiful log structures in the Czech Republic and is very similar to the Sobotka style log houses. The oldest date inscription in the Mladá Boleslav area can be found in Žďár and it is 1697.
